Children's Yoga

This class is taught by:

Rebecca Posner

Rebecca’s classes are designed to connect our physical bodies to our intuitive minds through breath-based movement and anatomical precision. In her early teens, Rebecca began her adventure in the world of yoga, exploring a variety of teachings before she received her 200-hour certification from Sonic Yoga in the Vinyasa Flow style. She continues to integrate technique and philosophy from various branches of the yoga, movement and meditation communities. Currently, she studies in the Dharma Mittra style of classical yoga and the Vipassana tradition of meditation.Teaching both children and adults, Rebecca loves watching yoga bring out the strength, grace and playfulness in everyone. Also a working (and playing) artist, she gives thanks to the yoga practice for inspiring every part of her creative self. She also thanks her greatest teachers, who always appear in subtle and unexpected form.

Florence Andrews

Florence Cabre-Andrews, affectionately called Flo, decided to dedicate herself entirely to the practice and teachings of yoga when she became a mother. She felt a deep need to transform herself in order to parent her daughter with acceptance and mindfulness.

Flo is an experienced an 500 - hour registered yoga teacher. she also holds Pre/Postnatal certifications, and children's yoga certifications.

Flo teaches alignment based classes and is currently enrolled in the Iyengar Yoga Association of Greater New York Teacher Training. She also works for Little Flower Yoga, a New York based organization dedicated to make the tools of yoga and mindfulness available to all children and teens through their program "The School Yoga Project " serving over 700 children per week.

She believes yoga is: "The study of the self, and fundamentally an act of kindness towards ourselves". Her practice has deeply transformed her life, helping her find more joy, openness, tolerance and hope.

Before yoga, Flo earned the equivalency of a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Drama after studying at the "Theatre Atelier Paris sud" (TAPS) with Sarah Sanders.

Molly Weprin

Yoga is the union of breath, body and mind.
Molly is a 1000 hour certified hatha, vinyasa + yin yoga instructor who is humbled to share her love of asana by guiding others through their own journeys to explore this relationship, creating balance to quiet the mind and nourish the soul.
Her trainings in Ashtanga, Iyengar & Hatha traditions lay the groundwork for her classes, combining fluid sequencing with breath awareness and balance to create mindful movement.
Her education is strongly rooted in foundations of yoga therapy and hatha yoga with attention to precision and alignment, so each class is keenly in tune with the body with respect to symmetry and maintaining spinal integrity. She strives to create an experience of consciousness and spaciousness that is both challenging and accessible to all levels of experience, and her love of music shines through in each class.
First and foremost Molly is a student. The practice of yoga in her life extends far beyond the mat and she is grateful for the opportunity to honor her teachers by sharing this with students at Hot Spot Yoga, and hopes to inspire this same love in each one of them.
